Tim Taylor operates from London as the founder of Missile Records, working under his real name Timothy Taylor and aliases including Egyptian Empire, Mystery Man, and 1st Prodject. He moved from the UK to Montreal in 1984 as a resident DJ before transitioning to A&R work at Profile Records in New York in 1987, where he managed Tommy Musto, Frankie Bones, and The KLF while serving as tour manager for Womack & Womack, Jungle Brothers, Ice-T, and Guru Josh.

Taylor's recent output spans raw, deep, hypnotic techno and peak time driving variants, releasing exclusively through his own Missile Records imprint since September 2023. His sound occupies the harder spectrum of techno with five releases demonstrating a focus on club-ready material designed for peak-hour deployment.
