Timo Maas

Timo Maas is a German producer, DJ and remixer from Bückeburg who began his career in the European rave scene in 1992. Born in July 1969, Maas bought his first turntables at age 17 and played his debut DJ set in 1982 at a house party. He has maintained an active release schedule since 2010, with 49 releases documented across multiple labels including Mobilee Records, Tenampa Recordings, and his own imprints Rockets & Ponies and Music is 4 Lovers.

Maas operates primarily within tech house and techno territories, spanning from deep house grooves to peak time driving techno. His releases appear on respected labels like Systematic Recordings and Mobilee Records, indicating his positioning within the underground electronic music circuit. His sound encompasses both the rhythmic drive of tech house and the melodic elements found in contemporary melodic house and techno, with tracks that range from club-ready peak time material to deeper, more introspective compositions suitable for extended DJ sets.
