Tomaz

Thomas Janssens operates under the alias Tomaz, a Belgian producer and DJ based in Mechelen who began his electronic music career in 2012. Starting his DJ journey at age 15 in the mid-1980s playing rock and new wave parties, he transitioned to house and techno after discovering the genre's early tracks at record shops. Tomaz has maintained a consistent output with 11 releases spanning over a decade, establishing himself within Belgium's electronic music scene through radio shows and performances at major parties.

Tomaz produces across multiple techno and house subgenres, ranging from raw and hypnotic techno to melodic house and tech house. His releases appear on respected labels including Suara and Knee Deep In Sound, with tracks reaching Beatport's top 100 charts. His sound encompasses both peak time driving techno suitable for main room sets and deeper, more hypnotic material appropriate for extended DJ journeys. The producer's versatility spans the tempo spectrum from deep house to driving techno, offering DJs material that works across different parts of a set and various dance floor contexts.
