Trance Wax

Trance Wax is the alias of Northern Irish DJ and producer Garry McCartney, better known as Ejeca, operating from Belfast. McCartney launched the Trance Wax project in February 2020, focusing specifically on contemporary re-edits of trance classics through a breaks and progressive trance lens. He runs his own Trance Wax label alongside releasing material through the project, with 17 releases documented since the alias began.

His Trance Wax output spans melodic house and techno, peak time driving techno, house, and breaks, with releases appearing on major labels including Anjunabeats, Kompakt, Armada Music, and Insomniac Music Group. The project specializes in reworking classic trance tracks with contemporary breaks and progressive elements, creating dancefloor-focused edits that bridge nostalgic melodies with modern production techniques. His sound operates across multiple tempo ranges, from breakbeat-driven house tracks to peak time techno, with releases planned through October 2025 indicating continued activity in the alias.
