Trevino

Marcus Kaye, known under the alias Trevino, was a British producer from Burnley, Lancashire who began his music career in 1991. He operated under multiple aliases including Marcus Intalex and Kosh, and owned three record labels: Soul:r, Revolve:r, and Birdie. His first release under the Trevino moniker appeared in November 2012, marking a shift from his established drum and bass background into electronic music territories. Kaye passed away in Manchester in May 2017.

Trevino's sound spans peak time driving techno, house, deep house, and electronica, with releases appearing on respected labels including Klockworks, Aus Music, Hotflush Recordings, and The Nothing Special, alongside his own Birdie imprint. His productions demonstrate a shift from the breakbeat foundations of his drum and bass origins toward four-four rhythms, maintaining the energy and precision that characterized his earlier work. Between 2012 and 2023, he released twelve tracks across these genres, with his material ranging from deep, hypnotic house cuts to harder-edged peak time techno designed for dance floor impact.
