Tricky

Tricky is the stage name of Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws, a British producer and musician born January 27, 1968, in Bristol. He began his career as an early collaborator with Massive Attack before launching his solo work, with his first electronic music release appearing in 2014. Thaws has operated under several aliases including Nearly God, Starving Souls, and Adrian Thaws throughout his career.

His electronic output spans tech house and electronica, with releases distributed through !K7 Records, In My Room Records, and Toolroom. Tricky's electronic work represents a departure from his earlier trip hop foundations, exploring more dancefloor-oriented territory through these specialized electronic labels. His release catalog includes six electronic releases between 2014 and 2026, demonstrating his continued evolution within the electronic music sphere while maintaining connections to established underground labels.
