Truncate

Truncate is the alias of US producer David Flores, who launched the project in early 2011 with a focus on deep, raw techno and house. Flores established his own Truncate label in 2010, providing a platform for his harder-edged material distinct from his other aliases including Broken Rules and Audio Injection. Since 2011, he has released 75 tracks across various imprints, maintaining consistent output through 2022.

His sound centers on peak-time driving techno and raw, hypnotic variations that work effectively in club environments. Truncate releases appear on respected labels including his own imprint, Blueprint Records, CLR, 50 Weapons, and Ultramajic, with his productions spanning techno's deeper territories into leftfield house and tech house crossover material. The project delivers the driving energy and stripped-down aesthetic that characterizes contemporary American techno, with tracks engineered for maximum dancefloor impact while retaining the raw, minimal approach that defines his signature sound.
