Trutopia

Trutopia is a Welsh electronic music duo comprising brothers Ashleigh Owen and Kristian Owen from Swansea, now based in London. The group began in 2014 and started releasing music in 2018. In 2020, they founded their own imprint Night Mayors, expanding their presence in the electronic music scene.

Their sound spans house, tech house, deep house, and minimal deep tech territories, with releases appearing on established labels including Strictly Rhythm, Knee Deep In Sound, Nervous Records, REALM Records, and Get Twisted Records. Trutopia's productions typically deliver mid-tempo grooves that work across peak-time and deeper sets, blending classic house sensibilities with contemporary tech house elements. Their catalog demonstrates versatility within the 4/4 spectrum, from stripped-back minimal arrangements to more driving tech house cuts that maintain dancefloor functionality while incorporating electronica influences.
