Tunnel is the collaborative project between Mieke Maes and Patrick Stevens, who founded the webuildmachines label. The Chicago-based duo began releasing material in 2014, with Stevens describing the project as a side endeavor executed together with his wife Mieke. The pair has released seven tracks across their labels webuildmachines and Nothing But, spanning from their debut release in April 2014 through their latest material scheduled for November 2025.

Tunnel produces peak time driving techno designed for main room dancefloors. Their releases on webuildmachines and Nothing But showcase high-energy productions built for DJ sets, focusing on driving rhythms and peak hour dynamics. The duo's sound maintains consistent energy levels across their catalog, delivering tracks that function as DJ tools within the harder spectrum of techno. Their output demonstrates a focused approach to club-ready material, with each release targeting the peak time slots of techno sets.
