Tweakers Artist Bio

There appears to be two Artists called Tweakers listed here. I’m going to add the bio for the most recent Artist/Album combo, but if anyone knows anything about the dance/trance artist listed here too then please add a bio for them too!

Tweakers are Thomas Drake and Richard Gale, a duo who inexplicably waited almost 30 years to make an album in less than two months.

In his East London HQ, Tom, a multi-instrumentalist and self-taught production experimentalist, had a vast laboratory of sounds, riffs and songs on hard drives, packed into boxes and swirling in his head.

Meanwhile, Richard, Margate’s premier / only one-armed guitarist, found himself on the Kent coast with a notes app full of half ideas and an archive of songs without music.

The possibility of combining their stockpiled fragments had been raised during a period of lockdown but actually burst into life in 2024, when Tom, fighting through depression and pneumonia, found the formula to bring the elements together into what became Our Youth Wasn’t Wasted, the debut album.
