TWR72

TWR72 is an Amsterdam-based techno project that began as a duo comprising Roger van der Zwan and Tom Doorschodt, launching their first release in August 2011. The project now operates as a solo venture led by Roger van der Zwan following the departure of Tom Doorschodt. The duo founded Float Records and OOM Records, with TWR72 serving as both artist and label owner, releasing material on their own TWR72 imprint alongside their other ventures.

TWR72 produces peak time and driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic variations, with occasional forays into house and classic Detroit electro. The project has released 43 tracks across labels including Float Records, Planet Rhythm, and Hayes, maintaining consistent output through 2025. Their sound spans the harder spectrum of techno, designed for prime-time dancefloor moments, with the raw and hypnotic elements providing depth for extended DJ sets. The dual approach between driving peak-time material and deeper hypnotic cuts gives DJs versatility across different portions of their performances.
