upsammy is the electronic music project of Dutch artist Thessa Torsing, based in Amsterdam. She also releases music under the alias Sweepsculp. Torsing began releasing music as upsammy in May 2019 with her debut on Dekmantel, quickly establishing herself within the Netherlands' electronic music scene.
Her sound spans electronica, downtempo, house, and raw deep hypnotic techno across eight releases on respected labels including Dekmantel, Nous'klaer Audio, and Die Orakel. upsammy's productions range from meditative downtempo electronica to driving techno, often incorporating hypnotic elements and organic textures. Her releases on Dekmantel showcase a deeper, more introspective approach to electronic music, while her work demonstrates versatility across tempo ranges from ambient soundscapes to dancefloor-focused tracks. The project continues to evolve with releases scheduled through 2026.
