WALTHER is the electronic music project of German producer David F. Walther, a viola player who transitioned into electronic music production. Based in Germany, WALTHER launched his electronic music career in May 2024 with his debut release on Music For Dreams, marking a significant shift from his classical music background into the world of house music production.
WALTHER produces house music that spans multiple subgenres including deep house, indie dance, progressive house, and melodic house & techno. His releases exclusively appear on Music For Dreams, a label known for its sophisticated approach to contemporary house music. With 12 releases planned through February 2026, WALTHER's sound draws from his classical viola training to create melodically-driven house tracks that operate across various tempo ranges. His deep house productions tend toward the more contemplative end of the spectrum, while his indie dance and progressive house work incorporates more driving elements suitable for peak-time DJ sets.
