Wax

Wax is a Leeds-based electronic group that formed in 1988, originally known as Common Knowledge before adopting their current name. The group operates their own WAX label, through which they have released seven releases between 2010 and 2024. As an Anglo-American act, Wax emerged from the British electronic music scene during the late 1980s.

Wax produces peak time driving techno alongside raw, deep, and hypnotic techno variations, with some releases incorporating house elements. Their output on the WAX label spans from their 2010 debut through their most recent 2024 release, maintaining a focus on dancefloor-oriented techno that ranges from driving peak time energy to deeper, more hypnotic territories. The group's sound operates within the harder spectrum of electronic music, designed for club environments and DJ sets requiring high-energy techno tracks.
