Weval

Weval is a Dutch duo consisting of Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers, who met in 2010 while working in the Netherlands film industry. Based in Amsterdam, the pair began releasing electronic music in 2014 and have maintained an active output with 29 releases spanning over a decade of collaboration.

Their sound traverses electronica, melodic house and techno, deep house, and tech house territories, with releases appearing on respected labels including Kompakt, Technicolour, and Cercle Records. The duo's approach combines their visual arts background with downtempo electronic elements and house rhythms, creating tracks that work equally well for home listening and dancefloor contexts.
