Why'd operates as a duo comprising Frank Minoia and Filippo Minoia, who began releasing music in June 2024. The Italian producers have established themselves across multiple underground labels within their first year of activity, maintaining a consistent output of five releases through December 2024. They also collaborate under the name Blaqq & Why'd, expanding their creative partnership across different projects.

Their sound centers on tech house and minimal deep tech, delivering tracks that span from driving four-on-the-floor rhythms to stripped-back, hypnotic arrangements. Why'd releases music through Kubbo Records, Ohana Music, Unnamed & Unknown, Ole Groove, and NoZzo Music, showcasing their adaptability across different label aesthetics. Their productions balance the groove-focused elements of tech house with the subtler, atmospheric textures of minimal techno, creating tracks suitable for both peak-time sets and deeper, more introspective moments on the dancefloor.
