Yuna

Yuna is a Malaysian artist from Alor Setar who began her career in 2006. Born Yuna Zarai in 1986, she initially gained recognition in contemporary R&B before transitioning into electronic music production. Her first electronic release appeared on Insomniac Records in September 2024, marking her entry into the dance music scene.

Yuna produces Afro House, Tech House, and Melodic House & Techno with occasional Dance/Pop crossovers. Her releases appear exclusively on Insomniac Music Group and its subsidiary labels, including a feature on the "Curation Best Of 2025" compilation. With five releases since late 2024, her sound incorporates Afro-influenced rhythms into house frameworks, operating across mid-tempo grooves typical of melodic house and the driving energy of tech house. Her electronic output maintains the melodic sensibilities from her R&B background while adapting to club-focused arrangements.
