The memories that come with staying in two major cities that could not be more differential are building the framework for this collection of tracks. The ambiguous title wants to be taken seriously! Still it also wants to lead us to a psychological self-regulation and motivational theory that Beck claims to be an important initiator for him. We can doubt that the album demands to be an exemplification of the theory, but on the musical side we know for sure: The long grown label-friend finished nine fine intimate minimalistic pieces of electronic music, that complete another “matter of heart” episode for the label. Not always tangible and concrete and yet made of one piece they result in an album that seems to have fallen beautifully out of time straight into Becks future. Johannes Beck is and will always be the “Obstler” among the KANN artists.
