One of numerous production guises for Alex Michalski, Grey People is all about club ready techno that occasionally utilises a well known sample amidst the pounding bass lines and grinding drums. Certainly, you’d have to question your musical knowledge if you didn’t recognise the vocal hook and fluttering string sample from lead track “DCGWIO”, though Michalski deserves some credit for the way they’re implemented into his production. Both the original and Will Azada remix of “Non Functional” are delightfully oddball and highlights of this release.
