Grey People

Grey People is the production alias of Alex Michalski, a DJ and producer based in Nashville. Michalski began releasing music under the Grey People moniker in 2014, with his debut appearing on Valcrond Video in July of that year. Over the course of his eight-year career, he has maintained a steady output with six releases distributed across three labels.

Grey People's sound spans peak time techno, leftfield house, and modern electro, with releases appearing on Valcrond Video, Nerang Recordings, and Diffuse Reality Records. His productions lean toward driving, peak-hour energy suitable for main room sets, while incorporating elements from Detroit electro and contemporary house. The project maintained consistent activity from 2014 through 2022, with his most recent release landing on Diffuse Reality Records in January 2022.
