For his first full release on our 20/20 Vision imprint, Hector Couto showcases why he is such a pivotal force in house music at the moment. After collaborating with Forrest on ‘The Usual Suspects’ last year, now feels like the right time to give him the full spotlight with his Get It On EP.

Title track ‘Get It On’ kicks things off with serious style. Combining punchy drum rolls, deep bass and a disco-inspired vocal, it sounds like it could have been transported straight out of Amnesia in the early 90’s. ‘Raw Fixation’ keeps up the heat with cosmic synth swirls working against driving drums, spoken word vocals and an acid climax.

As we enter the second half of the release, Hector doesn’t let the intensity drop – ‘Music Please’ is all about the beat and bass combo which once again cements Hector’s reputation as being a master of the dancefloor. Finally, he rounds off an incredible EP with a latin percussion flavoured house jam with rolling cowbells and bongos transporting us straight to the streets of Rio Carnival.

Harking back to the crisp and innocent early sound of house music, Hector recreates it for the present and fills the speakers with an energetic sound tailor made for the dancers.
