The newest member of Fckng Serious, the young musician and producer Moritz Hofbauer, starts immediately with a release. “Black Ice” is the name of his first EP on the label and will be the first part of a quadrilogy to be released during 2021.
With four brand new tracks and a piano version of the title track, Moritz this time musically processes his impressions of the winter season.
The piano cover is also intended to give the title track a special significance and leave room for new interpretations for the listener.
The main single, “Black Ice”, was originally created as an intro for Moritz’s new live sets and was intended as an introduction to his new chapter. The spirit of optimism is clearly audible in this special track and embodies euphoria for something new and still unknown. It can’t be a coincidence that this track will be his debut on Fckng Serious! The track “Thundersnow” contains a lot of spherical sounds that inevitably draw you in immediately.
The other tracks present themselves in a dirtier sound picture. This is due to the fact that their basis: bassline & drums come entirely from his drum machine and thus have their own sound colouration, which reflects Moritz’s very personal style.
We are very happy about his fast and very successful debut on Fckng Serious and are already looking forward to the next part of his unique Quadrilogy, in spring.
