The same can be said about their new single “Certified Original”. Art has always played an important role in the duo’s creative journey. The story behind the track goes back to New York, where Frieder & Jakob unexpectedly met a young American artist on the street. What began with a random encounter in New York eventually led to a creative collaboration that became part of this release. Not only did the artist create the cover artwork for the single, but an unplanned voice message he sent to Jakob also ended up becoming the vocal part in the track. A perfect example of the motto: Support Your Friends’ Art. The track has already proven its impact during Frieder & Jakob’s recent show in New York. After receiving numerous messages across their social media channels asking for the ID of the track, the decision was easy: the duo decided to officially release it this July.
