The Wrap around is surely one of Dam Swindle’s biggest hits to date. Now, the 2012 release on Saints & Sonnets has found its way home to the duo’s own Heist Recordings. The original release made a lasting impression on the scene with clever sampling of some of the warmest soul vocals you can imagine, lush pads and a raw Moog bass. Its bluntness, warmth and loose vibe turned out to become the signature of their sound and now – almost 10 years after its initial release – it’s become a stone cold classic. The original label was only active for a handful of releases and with Discogs prices of the Wrap Around going though the roof, it seems only fitting that the duo are taking control of this release and preparing for a vinyl reissue.//
