In the past few years, Portugal has been the source of the most interesting upcoming creators and DJ’s in our scene. Now based in Barcelona, Diogo Lopes a.k.a STNDRD, one of the most hard working and lovely figures in the game, has delivered 4 amazing tracks to create ‘Luminous’, our imminent release, that contains 2 remixes from the Argentines Translate & Viking. The ambient intro sets up the mood to dive into Diogo’s universe, three songs that makes you feel the need to headbang to the beat. The formula seems quite simple, huge low end, lfo, filters and noise coming in an out perfectly in time, groove in every percussive element, subtle ditailing in every step of the progression pattern. Luminous II is the most clean of them all, a perfect DJ tool for every moment in a set. Luminous III is more dense and sticky, while number 4 is the loudest and heaviest with a 100%% rave spirit. A versatile combination that shows how proficient and experienced Stndrd is. Translate’s version of N2, has captured an amazing swing in the bass, combined with a bleepy main synth that is super uplifiting, and intense use of claps to make his track the one with the most happy vibe in the EP.
