After many appearances on several Bar 25 Music compilations, Tone Of Arc returns to the label for a solo release. Producing music for the past 25 years, Derrick Boyd mostly known for his hit release on NO.19 Music was Goodbye Horses featuring an MTV quality music video in 2012. Since then Tone Of Arc has been seen around the globe performing renowned clubs and events such as Warung Brazil, Panorama Bar Germany, Fabric London, Burning Man, Symbiosis California, and countless other reputable dance floors over the years.
For this release, Derrick made his version of the famous track from the 80’s by Eddy Grant – Electric Avenue. The artist says: ‘One day I woke up and said I want to cover Electric Avenue. I don’t know why other than I like to make old songs fresh again. By the end of the day it was done from scratch. I’ve been holding onto this song for a year before giving anyone a listen.’ We are extremely proud to present this track on Bar 25 Music, and to give a spotlight on the label to Tone Of Arc finally.//
