Previously contributing to the label for its third instalment with the ‘Restless’ EP in 2020, Border One makes his long awaited return to the SK_X series with the ‘Inner Sight’ EP.
Leading with ‘Third Vision’, a synth driven odyssey loaded with rising melodies, morphing basslines and fluctuating rhythms. ‘Optical Void’, takes a more minimalistic approach in the form of a stripped back hypnotic groove, placing emphasis on pounding percs and haunting atmospheric tension. ‘Mind’s Eye’ leads the flip-side with layered synths and rolling low-end frequencies, all combining to form a raw, rough and ready club record.
The player concludes with the title track, ‘Inner Sight’ – featuring a dark variety of plucky bass, echoing tones and intricate perc lines.
