Mossambi – Time To Quit Music on All Centre – An Underground Gem

Mossambi starts 2025 with a bang, delivering four new tracks on Time To Quit Music. On his third EP on the label, Mossambi delivers his most melodic work yet, infusing complex dancefloor compositions with abstract, autotuned vocals and lively hyperpop-inspired synth lines. TiSAM introduces the record with stuttering vocals and shimmering pads before propelling into a sub-driven groove adorned with playful percussion and angelic chords. Syncopated bass hits and percussion build intensity throughout before the track ends in blissful ambience. Time To Quit Music sees abstract sound design manipulated over sub-driven percussion. Sounds whirr and transform across the frequency spectrum, whilst an addictive vocal hook lifts the track up to ethereal heights. LLPS opens with whiplash-inducing percussive patterns accentuated by crashing cymbals. An earworm synth line morphs its way through the arrangement, with a compelling vocal sample rising and falling as the track progresses. HDT closes the record with a stirring chord progression, interspersed by alien vocals and manipulated camera clicks. Whilst rooted in the dancefloor, the track twists and transforms in unexpected directions, locking into a firm, stepping groove before rushing forward with precision-chopped breaks.
