But for those not in the know, he is part of the vital and vivacious Azari & III; the inimitable group that smacked the scene round its face with tunes like Hungry For The Power, Manic and Reckless (With Your Love) in the 2010s. Having moved from Toronto where the group were based, Ali X is now embedded in the hot and heavy milieu of Mexican club culture where he has found the perfect home for his particular strain of brazen, sauce-laden House and Techno. With Mi Dios Mi Amor he lays out some pacy heat, deliciously adorned with the salacious lyrics of Mexican artist MAFARA.
