Behind the Melodic House & Techno : Release Notes
Welcome to the next chapter of Tour de Traum. In a time when the landscape of electronic music is increasingly shaped by commercialization, we feel our mission is more relevant than ever: to release exciting, untamed music, music that isnt filtered through algorithms or populist mechanisms. This new volume of Tour de Traum brings together artists whove been part of the Traum family for years, as well as many new faces who deserve your support and attention. So please, take a moment, sit back, and join us on this journey. Dan English We open with British artist Dan English. Hes sent us music in the past, and this track instantly resonated with us. Its raw, energetic, and emotionally charged techno, weaving modern compositional elements into a powerful narrative of mood changes. Pop Juice stands proudly alongside some of our favorite British contributions to the label. Danjel Esperanza A long-time member of the Traum family, Danjel Esperanza returns with a track that perfectly blends our roots in techno with the evolving perspectives and possibilities of modern production. His melodic techno speaks with emotion, lifting the listener in profound ways while remaining grounded in craftsmanship and soul. Jan Steiner Weve supported Jan Steiner ever since he reached out to us years agoand released a full-length album with us. Hes an artist of deep conceptual vision, often drawing from rich cultural references. His track Dialogue of Self and Soul is a tribute to the poet William Butler Yeats. The poem it draws from rejects escapism and embraces the raw beauty of experience and existence. Jans dubby, hypnotic music complements Yeatss monotone yet powerful voice, resulting in a deeply emotional and unique piece. WIMM WIMM is a Berlin-based electronic duo moving through the shadows of minimal electronica and dark garage. Their sound is stripped-back yet emotionally resonant, built on detailed textures and shifting rhythms.Dwnstrm lingers between tension and release, introspection and motion. WIMM crafts music for the in-between hourssubtle, haunting, and deeply human. Maxism We welcome back Maxism this time with his new track Lizzards Tale (ft. andThen & DiscOwl)Enjoy a a poised and chilled atmosphere that is slowly seeking into your imagination and establishing there a a world of fiction which is a great experience. fran&co fran&co has been part of the Traum family for some time, and his music continues to resonate widely earning placements in major Spotify editorial playlists. A true master of melodic techno and house, fran&co crafts tracks with a deep understanding of dancefloor dynamics. His productions maintain a compelling biorhythm, striking the perfect balance between groove and emotion, allowing them to connect with a broad and diverse audience. Julien Vertigo Julien Vertigo is a Swiss-based artist known for crafting experimental, floating melodies rich in emotion. He skillfully merges organic grooves with raw, powerful sounds that catch listeners off guard. His music has recently gained support from renowned artists such as Joris Voorn, Fideles, Nora En Pure, Henri Bergmann, and Eli & Fur. Julien regularly performs at top Swiss venues like D! Club, Nordstern, Rok, and Audio, sharing the stage with acts like Massano, Rebuke, Rodriguez Jr., and Nora En Pure. His track Adalea captures his signature sound, sending us through a cascade of emotional highs and surprises. C.Vogt, Sofian C.Vogt (real name: Chriss Vogt) is a German electronic music producer from Mainz with classical roots in piano and saxophone. As the son of acclaimed violinist K. Vogt, his musical foundation runs deep, though his creative path led him into electronic music. He has released on esteemed labels like Running Back, Visionquest, All Day I Dream, Get Physical, Rebirth, and Get Weird, and collaborates frequently with Butch. His productions are supported by key tastemakers such as Pete Tong, Lee Burridge, Kölsch, and Sasha. For this track, he joins forces with German producer Sofian, marking their first official release together despite previous collaborative work. Sofian, known for his conceptual solo productions including his release on Harthouse, brings a structured sensibility to their shared sound. His analytical approach offers balance and flow, anchoring the track while giving space for its melodic layers to unfold naturally. IPI We welcome back Cologne-based artist IPI with his track Crossing Over. IPI consistently delivers with his polyrhythmic groovesboth seductive and hypnotic striking a perfect balance between fluidity and structure. His sound draws from the aesthetics of modern house while subtly echoing the early days of acid house. Once again, IPI presents a compelling slice of techno-funk that captures movement and mood in equal measure. TRITON Hailing from steamy South Florida, TRITON has produced experimental dub electronics working from studios in Boston, Brooklyn and Miami for labels such as Skor, Defchild, Comfortnoise and his own Zero G Sounds since 2002.The sporadic output from TRITON reflects the deliberate, meditative approach of his craft: Slowly, carefully placing each sound into place and letting it rest over time in order to mature into form. Like the midday sun on a scorching afternoon, TRITONs exposure to tropical and experimental electronic music in Florida and the Caribbean has directly influenced his signature techno sound that is at times as lumbering as it is lively. Squall contains all these mentioned parameters in a breathtaking way. Resonant Robot Resonant Robot, born in the 90s in Ecuador and based in Quito, has been producing music for over a decade. Inspired by 90s and early 2000s progressive house and deep house, he crafts groovy dancefloor tracks infused with deep melodies and meaningful stories, along with a touch of intricate sound design that evokes feelings of melancholy and hope. In late 2024 and early 2025, Resonant Robot released music for the first time in his career, putting out a total of five tracks. These tracks have been supported by legends of the progressive and underground electronic music scene, including John Digweed, Dave Seaman, and Anthony Pappa. Resonant Robot is set to keep pushing boundaries and has connected with Traum by sending us From The Roots. It is a track that resonates with us long after it has finished. The track is a ride between a restrained melancholy , an undercurrent that sets the emotional tone and an energetic source that advances to trow an emotional curveball at us. RAUB We welcome back RAUB with their new track Chillout With Roland .This track has a striking deepness that is perfect for the night when all sensors are switched on sensitive mode. This track has a sensational natural flow in which the machine becomes an organ. Welcome to the phantastic world of Roland Buurman & Kas Arts. ARCHERY ARCHERY is a Berlin-based techno duo formed by Tom Johnson and Sebastian Furnier, known for their hypnotic and dynamic sound that blends deep techno atmospheres with driving club energy.younglove is their newest track and it shows a great balance of precision, functionalism and elegance, a result of their production ethic. Expect nothing less then a cinematic experience in a DJ format. As they describe it in their own words: The melancholic piano chords are inspired by seeing DJ Koze play a Black Coffee track at Fusion Festival against the sunrise. We wanted to capture that epic feeling of hearing a hard hitting, emotional track at the end of a long night and being connected to the people around you. Chrisik Chrisik creates dreamy, melancholic and complex electronic music. His sounds combines different elements from various genres, he has developed his own complex style that he has established within his peer group. His new track Left Behind stays true to his definition of progressing music. It show a great feeling for a built up composition and manages to stay on the minimal side of things which allows his to transport his music to a wider audience! Himy Vana Himy Vana is originally from France, where he spent his formative years, this artist brings us an unapologetically raw blend of techno, hip-hop, IDM, house, and cinematic fragments. Always chasing new textures and pushing sound beyond the predictable, he delivers something truly distinct with his new track With You Boy.This is not about pleasing anyone its about disrupting the formula. The piece veers away from conventional techno structures with bold elegance, throwing its ideas in your face with unfiltered confidence. Its fresh, free-thinking electronics with teeth and zero compromise. Frasseck & Freitag Frasseck & Freitag have already made a strong impression on several Tour de Traum compilations but Strange Loops reveals an unexpected new depth in their sound. The track feels as if it composed itself, rich in sonic variety yet held together with uncanny coherence. Its a piece that surprised even the duo themselves, who sent it to us with no words, just music. A moment of instinct, clarity, and something truly special. pørtl We are thrilled to welcome a new piece by pørtl, who have already released an ep and contributed to several editions of Tour de Traum in the past. Their latest work, Rota, is more dancefloor-oriented while still holding true to their signature aesthetic, crafting compositions that are grand, ascending like soaring tiles, only to descend again, gather themselves, and draw new energy for the next surge. In this way, vehemence could be understood as a kind of organic quality inherent in their melodic techno, symbolizing resilience, uprising, and renewal. pørtl describe their style in their own words: For us, everything starts with an emotion. From our early roots in post-rock, where every sound carried weight, we translate this into electronic form. For pørtl a track is never about perfection alone, but about emotional gravity, rhythm, and resonance. flayman Argentinian artist flayman contributes a new piece to Tour de Traum with Fruehlingslicht, a track that begins with gliding textures and gradually rises into melodic patterns reminiscent of early 90s Detroit techno.Through a series of pulsing, evolving motifs at half time, the track builds a hypnotic atmosphere deep, elegant, and seemingly suspended in air. Its a composition that feels intuitive, almost as if it were guided by something just beyond reach. Henotik Henotik, who has previously contributed to our Tour de Traum compilations, returns with his new track Don`t Look Back. The piece radiates a sense of joy and euphoria, yet is firmly grounded by a driving, steady beat full of vertical motion. It creates a strong forward momentum while maintaining a refined balance in which every musical element must move in harmony. The result is a vibrant and emotionally resonant piece of melodic house music. Sonimun Christian Kalinowski, also known as Numinus, appears on Tour de Traum under his alternate moniker Sonimun. Based in Cologne, he has already contributed several memorable tracks to previous editions of the series. As a trained sound engineer, educator at various academies, and former contributor to the renowned German music magazine Groove, he brings a wide-ranging perspective to his creative output. In his studio, Sonimun explores the act of music-making with a spirit of curiosity and experimentation. As previously noted in past Tour de Traum editions, he is currently composing with a system he calls the stable randomness machine a method based on algorithmic variation that guides his modular explorations in rhythm and melody. This process aims to generate music that is truly one of a kind. His new piece, Shepart Loop, resists conventional categorization within electronic dance music. Instead, it asserts itself as a singular sonic journey one whose destination remains unknown, even to its creator. For Sonimun, music-making is about embracing unpredictability and following inspiration wherever it may lead. So prepare yourself for a journey a brief but deep dive into the world of Sonimun from Cologne. STIQ We welcome back STIQ who have been present in the past on several Tour De Traum releases. Their new track track A Trace Of Light is a down tempo groover par excellence that conveys the spirit of early german electronic music heritage. The break down is almost psychedelic in the best 70ies fashion but then turns into a hypnotic 303 upgrade. Cockpitcrew Cockpitcrew the german Lounge, chill out, downtempo Wunderkind which is among the few who have been signed with EMI in the past continues his flight and does this in a very impressive way. The track Rivershores was written according to Andy Moon with the impression of the creeks and cannyons near his house. One can virtually feel the grande wide spaces with no border. datac luster datac luster is the new project of Omar Armenta Molina also knows as Slipskit. is an electronic artist from El Paso, Texas. He draws inspiration from a variety of genres like ambient, idm, ukg, melodic house and, many more. Each piece is painstakingly designed with microrythmic elements, glitch-like percusion, heavy bass and calming synths. His attention to detail and commitment to producing a wholly immersive auditory experience are demonstrated by the delicate subtleties and intricate details in his works. His intention with the music he creates is to blend human and machine with the complexity of his glitch-like digital microarrangements to perfectly conpliment the humanity and emotions of his melodic elements and organic textures. Acitone Acitone is the project name of uk Music Producer , Freelance Journalist Geraint Rees and his track Ionospheres is a trip back in time when Detroit was the holy grail of techno music. For all of us here at TRAUM , it was hugely important and what great time had. Ionospheres contains traces of UR Galaxy Galaxy but does it with a fine Uk twist. The Uk had been in past a source of cool Post Detroit music with acts like B12 and Neuropolitics, may ist rise again with the wonderful Ionospheres. Kussmann With Herr Ballack, German artist Kussmann presents a deep house track that focuses on the subtle choreography of movement and melody, a piece that draws you straight into the heart of the German deep house tradition. Avoiding the bombast of big-room productions, this track embraces restraint and nuance. It belongs to a niche where deep house is introspective, textural, and quietly radical. Sandburgen Sandburgen, a recurring presence on Tour de Traum, has undergone a transformation. Once rooted in deep house aesthetics, his sound has shifted now landing in the realm of hypnotic techno. His new track Luppt carries all the hallmarks of psychedelic, progressive techno from the 90s the kind you might have heard at Omen in a Sven Väth set. A flight into the past, both raw and refined, capturing the pulse of a bygone era with a contemporary edge. Denvers Little Brother Denvers Little Brother is a Paris-based artist passionate about experimental electronic music. He began DJing in Grenoble, mixing his favorite records, and started producing his own tracks in 2022 through the Inspiration du Silence radio show a series of 30-minute productions based on field recordings and exploring a range of styles. In January 2025, he released his debut EP, and his first full-length album, also inspired by the IDS series, is set to be released in the coming months. His track of us is Ereh and pays tribute to his skill. Ereh in some way behaves like a 30 minute Dj mix comprised into 7 minutes and 16 seconds! Dan Baber Welcome back Dan Baber! We have carries various tracks go his on Tour De Traum in the past and we were enchanted about his new track! Entwindet combines electro acoustic sounds with synths in fabulous unique and unparalleled way. This is exciting music where spaces collide and your senses will open up in ways you have not known they could. Surf Shaper Ready for some Surf Shaper? The San Diego based artist is showing here a masterpiece of a musical construction that breaks down barriers of pre sets in taste with pure nonchalance. The harmonies are nurtured with antagonism in a mesmerizing way. A track to loose yourself in. Blue Lines Mexican act Blue Lines makes his Tour de Traum debut with Crazy Time, a track that evokes strong memories of the mid-90s techno scene, infused with subtle psychedelic textures. The driving force here is the unwavering beat, pushing the track forward with persistent energy from start to finish.A piece made for movement, Crazy Time channels a raw kinetic spirit that invites dancers to invade the dance. Bob Data With Tension Shatter, Latvian artist Bob Data offers a raw, analog-heavy track that unfolds like an improvised live session. Built around a restless arpeggiated sequence, the piece loops and mutates, intersecting with sparse layers that build tension through minimalism and motion.Percussive elements tighten the groove until a fragile, almost naïve melody appearsbrief and ephemeralonly to dissolve into rising waves of distortion and intensity. The track resists conventional structure, opting instead for a spontaneous, hardware-driven aesthetic that evokes real-time knob-turning over premeditated composition.A hypnotic, patient piece that balances restraint with sonic gritminimal, northern, and beautifully uncompromising. Darien J Behind the alias Darien J stands UK producer Darian Hudson, who contributes First Conclusion Bias to the upcoming Tour de Traum release. The track opens with flickering, buzzing sequenceslike synthetic insectscreating an uncanny closeness to natural environments. Though the sound palette is electronic, the piece feels organic, as if overheard in a mysterious garden or forest. DML DML is the alias of German producer Dirk Lamprecht, a long-time contributor to Tour de Traum. With End Credits, he takes an unexpected turn, veering away from the beat-driven deep house hes known for. This time, he delivers a purist piece of electronic musicserene, meditative, and full of emotional depth. Stripped of rhythmic structure, the track floats in spacious layers. Tones rise and fall like slow breaths, opening and retracting with a quiet elegance. Entirely synthetic, yet deeply organic in feel, it plays like a soul drifting through silenceanchored in nothing but sound. Haunami For our latest Tour de Traum edition, we are pleased to welcome another Japanese artist: Haunami. Originally from the Chiba area near Tokyo, Heunami began his musical journey as a drummer before shifting his focus to electronic production. As a DJ, he was active in the Shibuya scene and made his debut in 2023 on the Canadian label Archipel, curated by Pheek. His track Yuami merges delicately Japanese-tinged melodies with a framework that draws from post-Detroit techno aesthetics. With a strong sense of propulsion and a continuous forward motion, the piece avoids dramatic breaks, opting instead for a hypnotic, rhythm-driven form that subtly shifts shape. Its a minimalist journey of momentumrestless, elegant, and charged with understated energy. Jahn Solo Jahn Solo, based in Copenhagen, returns to Tour de Traum with his new track Wicked. Built on a driving four-to-the-floor beat, the piece contrasts its rhythmic urgency with airy, almost string-like sequences that feel delicate and slightly mysterious. Theres a subtle nod to late-80s British new wave or shoegaze, though the track remains firmly in the electronic realm. Rather than progressing in a traditional arc, the main theme appears and recedessimple, unadorned, yet compelling. This charming restraint gives Wicked its quiet strength and lasting allure. Lightline Lightline, a Germany-based producer, returns to Tour de Traum with Yellow,a fresh and unpretentious fusion of progressive house and techno. Touches of trance elements are used sparingly, serving more as subtle bridges than dominant features. Despite its classic framework, the track feels vibrant and forward-thinking, breathing new life into well-worn themes with minimal shifts in texture and tonality. Light Line skillfully balances a propulsive rhythm with moments of melancholic depth, carried by understated strings, proving once more how the past can be reinvented through nuance and instinct. Nicolai Litz Nicolai Litz, a German producer, makes his debut on Tour de Traum with Drowned Sun a track that initially withholds its true intent. While traces of progressive trance shimmer beneath the surface, its linear structure and techno-driven clarity suggest otherwise at first. As it unfolds, the piece reveals its hypnotic essence: minimal, subtle, and captivating. With repeating sequences and few dramatic shifts, it draws its strength from restraint, not variation. The contrast between its airy, floating mood and the steady forward-pushing beat creates a compelling tension that gives the track its quiet power. Beatune Beatune, the French producer hailing from Lyon and now based in Berlin, has become a notable figure in the electronic music scene. Influenced by the German underground club culture, he crafts a distinctive blend of melodic deep house, techno, and breakbeat. His works, featured on labels like Berlin Bass Collective and Traum Schallplatten, showcase his ability to merge organic textures with electronic beats, creating immersive sonic journeys. In his latest track, Sameba, Beatune continues to push musical boundaries. The composition weaves together warm basslines, evocative melodies, and subtle sounds offering listeners a deep, emotive experience that resonates on the dance floor and beyond. Sander Zabicki Dutch producer Sander Zabicki, known for his powerful techno EP on our sister label Trapez, returns to Tour de Traum with his second contribution: Speak Up. Rooted more in the shadowy depths of techno than in melodic terrain, the track draws its tension from distorted, overdriven sequences that build and unravel with raw intensity. While there are melodic textures that subtly support the atmosphere, the driving force remains its mechanical pulsean uncompromising piece that leans into the darker architecture of the genre with bold restraint. Nick Niclassen Nick Niclassen a German producer, makes his Tour de Traum debut with an emotional vocal house track that flows in a steady rise and fallnever overly dramatic, but deeply expressive. Midway through, unexpected, weighty melodic shifts momentarily throw the piece off course, only for it to reorient itself with graceful precision. These brief disruptions seem to mirror emotional undercurrents, revealing a complexity beneath the tracks initial lightness. Its a piece that embraces both brightness and shadow, capturing the nuances of inner movement.
