Reaching the end of a highly productive and successful year, Meanwhile dips into its 2025 catalogue to produce a sparkling compilation of progressive highlights. Junes powerful Riot sees Argentine legend, Nicolas Rada open proceedings, with Vapour Recordings Kasey Taylor and Italian legend, Gai Barone, following with Passing Over the Clouds. Meanwhile favourite, Alex ORion celebrates another impressive year with his February EP reprised here, courtesy of Tunnel. Meanwhiles Australian contingent is well represented with the combined talents of Mike Rish and label heads, GMJ & Matter all making telling contributions to the underground house scene. Rishs Sunset on Mars was part of an inimitable triple-tracker in May, while Telomeres saw the Melbourne duo continue to reach rarefied heights with their hallmark sound. Seeing their work remixed by two of the dance musics highest-profile names, Marshs rerub of Zankee Gulatis Mind Opener and Kasper Komans reinterpretation of Mike Rishs GT both topped the Beatport Progressive House charts in the sweltering Northern Hemisphere summer. From Armenia to Sweden and the US, Ruben Karapetyan, EMPHI and Sam Scheme represent Meanwhiles international talent with a trio of majestic offerings in the second half of the year. Gai Barone returns once more, this time in solo guise, to close proceedings with the shimmering melodic gem, Hemels. Alex O'Rion is Dutch producer Alexander van Schooneveld, who has released 19 tracks since April 2025. His progressive house and melodic techno productions appear on Sudbeat Music, Solis Records, and Mango Alley, spanning tempos from deep hypnotic techno to indie dance.
EMPHI is a Stockholm-based producer who began releasing music in 2022. The artist creates progressive house tracks for labels including Vapour Recordings and Meanwhile, with releases consistently reaching Beatport's top 100 charts.
Melbourne-based producer Gavin Martin operates under the GMJ moniker, also running the Fulcrum project. GMJ delivers progressive house and deep house across labels including Proton Music, Balance Music, and Meanwhile, exploring funky and deep tekky territories.
