Behind the Organic House / Downtempo : Release Notes
This is the 1st teaser single announcing the forthcoming album “Rhythmique Nocturne” by Christian Prommer, to be released on 10th of July’26. “Struck” channels the smoky elegance of 1960s MPS jazz records through the lens of 1990s trip hop and Prommer’s Compost Records era. Referencing the iconic Tom Scott drum sample aesthetic, the track layers live percussion, Fender Rhodes and strings around a deep bassline performed by longtime Fauna Flash and Trüby Trio collaborator Raoul Walton. In 2024, Prommer met Berlin based singer and writer Leona Berlin, who shaped the arrangement and penned the track’s unforgettable hooks and lyrics, turning “Struck” into a left of center future soul anthem. Leona Berlin Fusing silky vocals with hard-hitting beats and rich jazz textures, Leona Berlin crafts a sound that is deeply personal and constantly evolving. Her fearless creativity and magnetic presence have earned her a growing international audience. Across several releases, she has collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Casey Benjamin, Rob Araujo, Magro and SVDP.
