Complexion marks a different chapter for Pheek; one shaped less by intention than by instinct. Created without a fixed direction, the album emerged from a simple desire: entering the studio for the pleasure of making music, without expectation or framework. The result is nine tracks that move faster and more melodically than much of his previous work. Drawing from the emotional futurism of early Detroit techno, *Complexion* blends retro-inspired synth lines, electro-infused rhythms, and dreamy melodic structures into a body of work that feels both nostalgic and strangely forward-looking. There is a playful freedom running through the album. Breakbeats collide with shimmering harmonies, machine-driven grooves drift into cinematic passages, and familiar textures are reshaped into something personal and reflective. While echoes of old-school influences remain throughout, the album does not revisit the past as much as it reinterprets the feeling of discovering it for the first time. At its core, *Complexion* explores the many emotional surfaces of electronic music: movement, memory, melancholy, excitement, solitude, and wonder. A soundtrack for night drives, imagined cities, fading futures, and the quiet joy of getting lost in sound.
