The record continues a discographic relationship previously documented through “Bad Feelings” on SK LAB and “On The Block” on SK Recordings, while taking the Italian producers’ shared language into faster, rawer and more confrontational territory. It connects contemporary Tech House, Minimal/Deep Tech and underground House with the rhythmic attitude of Ghetto House and old-school hip-hop. “Wake Up” opens through a female English vocal that controls the track’s architecture. Explicit, defiant and rap-like in delivery, its commands, declarations of power and adult phrases create a psychological presence that demands a response.
