After a quiet two years, I’m putting music back out into the world. I stepped back to give more to my other passion, biodiversity research, and that work often took me far from the studio, but it never took the music with it. “I See You As You Were” is a small digital only EP released with Nuno: a handful of tracks made throughout the +10 years I have had the honour to release music on Something Happening Somewhere, out not as a teaser of what is about to come, but as a way of saying I’m still here. The cover is a photo I took myself in the rainforests of the Philippines, a place I keep finding my way back to. Think of it less as a preview and more as a warm nod to the tracks that got me here. Something new is on its way, and this felt like the right way to say I’m glad to be back.
