Yubik is back on belonging with ‘4 the Streets’, his first solo release for the label after appearing on its opening release ‘Finding Home’ alongside Innellea. ‘Prnstar’ is rooted in Melodic Techno, but carries some of the colour and lift of 90s golden-era Trance. The synths give it a slightly nostalgic feel, while the groove and production keep it firmly aimed at current dancefloors. ‘Underdog’ is the tougher counterpart. A heavier bassline and more compact production bring it closer to Bass House, with a touch of UK 2-step in the drums adding some swing and movement. The two tracks make for a fairly broad return to belonging, picking up Yubik’s connection with the label while showing a little more of where his own sound is heading.
