Supporting the local scene isn’t a trend for us, but a conscious statement. When PAV unveiled his new EP, the release was a given from the very first seconds: it sounded incredibly electric, bold, and yet surgically balanced. L’élan Vital is an uncompromising capture of the here and now. The artist has managed to craft a coherent statement at the intersection of aggressive electro, pulsating body music, and neon futurism, creating a sense of compressed space and pure kinetic movement. The release is rooted in a love of analog hardware and the aesthetics of 90s electronic music. It’s not an attempt to simply recreate the past, but a reimagining of it through contemporary sound: thick basslines, piercing drum sections, unexpected fills, and characterful synths. L’élan Vital is a pure vital impulse in its electronic form, translated into the language of synthesizers and dense drum machines.
