Time stands still for a while as we find ourselves meandering through the mind of Vid, joining Cadenza with his debut release on the label, Light At The End. Three extended storytellers, turning deep through the subtleties of Romanian minimalism. The title track begins the journey, leading through soft, rolling basslines and bright moments of ambience. Warm pads provide the cushion as subtle tinkering with the machines adds tightly tripped electronics. Melodies slowly unravelling, as growling textures circle below the whisper of a human voice. Notes getting longer, chords getting brighter. Moving into ‘Pyschical’, the energy bubbles through rough grooves and hazy textures, unease beneath the surface. Vocal fragments echo into mysterious notes, rhythm quietly holding the hypnosis. ‘You See Them 2’ closes this introspective piece with softer chills. A groaning narrative, lifted by intricate melodies and fuzzy analogue magic. These are the stories, told by Vid.
