8Kays

8Kays is the production alias of Ukrainian DJ and producer Iryna Shvydkaya, born in 1985 and based between Berlin and Kyiv. She began releasing music under the 8Kays moniker in May 2019, having previously performed as Irina Shvidkaya and under the alias Ira. Since launching her 8Kays project, she has released 15 tracks across multiple labels including Watergate Records, Renaissance Records, Blaufield Music, Eleatics Records, and UV.

Her sound spans melodic house and techno, indie dance, and afro house, with occasional ventures into electro and deep dubstep territories. 8Kays releases on established labels like Watergate Records and Renaissance Records demonstrate her ability to craft both peak-time melodic house tracks and deeper, more introspective productions. Her discography shows a consistent focus on melodic elements within house and techno frameworks, with releases ranging from progressive house to nu disco influences.
