Christian Smith-Solbakken is a Swedish techno producer who founded the Tronic label in 1994, then relaunched it in 2009 after a two-year hiatus. Born in Sweden, he spent time in Germany and America before relocating to São Paulo, Brazil in 2009, and was living in Mallorca, Spain as of 2016. Smith has also recorded under the alias Neuromancer, and his career spans multiple decades of house and techno production.

Smith's output centers on peak-time driving techno and tech house, with 93 releases documented on Tronic between 2009 and 2018. His productions blend funky techno elements with tech house grooves, delivering the kind of high-energy material suited for prime-time club sets. The Tronic catalog showcases his evolution from traditional house foundations into harder-edged progressive house and driving techno territories, with Smith maintaining consistent output as both label owner and primary artist throughout the label's modern era.
