Claude VonStroke

Claude VonStroke is the alias of Cleveland-born Barclay Crenshaw, who founded the influential dirtybird label and events company in 2005. The American producer also records under the aliases Pedro DeLaFaydro and Burnto Bertolucci, and ran dirtybird for 20 years before selling the label to Empire Distribution in 2022. His A&R track record includes signing Justin Martin, Julio Bashmore, Catz 'n Dogz, Fisher, Shiba San, Breach, John Summit, Eats Everything, and Shadow Child before they achieved mainstream success.

VonStroke's output spans tech house, minimal deep tech, house, deep house, and peak-time driving techno, with 49 releases documented since his first release in November 2009. While dirtybird remains his primary outlet, he has also released music on Ultra, Mixmag Records, Cocoon Recordings, and Moon Harbour Recordings. His sound incorporates elements of ghettotech and ranges from deeper, minimal productions to driving peak-time tech house tracks designed for maximum dancefloor impact. His releases consistently deliver the groove-heavy, bass-driven aesthetic that has defined the dirtybird sound throughout the 2010s and into the present day.
