Close Counters is a Melbourne-based duo consisting of Allan McConnell and Finn Rees. The group began releasing music in July 2025, establishing themselves across multiple electronic music labels within their first year of operation.
Their sound spans house, deep house, and tech house territories, with excursions into nu disco and minimal deep tech. Close Counters releases music on Snatch! Records, Toy Tonics, Glitterbox Recordings, and Nervous Records, accumulating 15 releases between July 2025 and January 2026. Their output demonstrates versatility across the house music spectrum, from deeper, stripped-back productions to more disco-influenced tracks that align with Glitterbox's dancefloor-focused aesthetic.
