Dena

Dena is Berlin-based songwriter and vocalist Denitza Todorova, who was born and raised in Bulgaria before relocating to Germany. She initially gained recognition as a guest vocalist on The Whitest Boy Alive's two studio albums before transitioning into electronic music production. Todorova began releasing house and indie dance material under the Dena moniker in 2021, focusing on writing music, singing and programming beats from her Berlin base.

Her sound blends indie dance with house music influences, drawing from hip hop, old-school R&B and dance music elements. Dena releases on respected labels Permanent Vacation and Running Back, both known for their sophisticated approach to dance floor-oriented material. Her tracks typically feature her own vocals layered over programmed beats, creating pop-influenced house music that maintains dancefloor functionality. Since her debut electronic release in May 2021, she has maintained a steady output across both imprints, with releases scheduled through late 2025.
