About

Detlef, real name Achim Lauber, is a German electronic music producer who began releasing music in 2010. Based on his substantial catalog of 55 releases since his debut in September 2010, he operates as a solo artist and runs his own label DEFT alongside releases on established imprints.

Detlef produces tech house and minimal deep tech as his primary genres, with releases spanning Relief, Repopulate Mars, Hot Creations, and Issues. His sound encompasses house and deep house territories, with recent expansion into Afro house influences. The consistent output across major tech house labels positions his productions in the mid-tempo, club-focused range typical of contemporary European tech house, with releases scheduled through August 2025 indicating sustained activity in the underground dance music circuit.
