Erol Alkan

Erol Alkan is a London-based DJ and producer of Turkish Cypriot descent, born May 30, 1974. He founded Phantasy Sound, the label through which he releases his material, and operates under several aliases including Kurtis Rush, Giesbach, and Mustapha 3000. Alkan began releasing music on his imprint in 2013, establishing himself as both an artist and label owner in the London electronic music scene.

Alkan's productions span techno, house, electro, and deep house territories, with his Phantasy Sound releases showcasing peak time driving techno alongside classic Detroit-influenced electro sounds. His output maintains the energy levels suitable for club environments while incorporating the groove elements of house music. Since his first release in December 2013, Alkan has maintained consistent activity on his label through 2024, with his sound evolving across multiple electronic genres while retaining the driving characteristics that define his peak time material.
