Foreign Material

Foreign Material is the project of French producer Martin Respaut, who originates from Perpignan and currently operates from Brussels. Respaut also releases music under the alias MA7R and co-founded the techno label Norite. He began releasing electronic music in February 2019 and has maintained consistent output across multiple imprints over the past five years.

Foreign Material delivers raw and hypnotic techno alongside peak-time driving material, spanning tempos suitable for both deep underground sets and prime-time floor moments. His releases appear on Navigare Audio, Circular Limited, Norite, Subosc, and On Board Music, with nine releases documented through 2024. The project balances darker atmospheric elements with the driving percussion expected in contemporary European techno, making his catalog suitable for DJs programming extended techno sets that require both intensity and hypnotic depth.
