MoBlack

MoBlack is the project of Italian DJ and producer Mimmo Falcone, who began releasing music in November 2015. Based in Italy, Falcone operates MoBlack Records and co-founded the label MoDef with David Morales. He has released 44 tracks across various labels including his own imprint, Universal Music Division Decca Records France, Defected, Frau Blau, and Cercle Records.

MoBlack specializes in Afro House with crossover elements of Melodic House & Techno, Indie Dance, House, and Minimal / Deep Tech. His releases on established labels like Defected signal his credibility within the underground house scene, while his work through MoBlack Records showcases a consistent focus on African-influenced rhythms and percussion. The music typically features mid-tempo grooves that work equally well in peak-time and warm-up sets, with melodic elements that bridge the gap between deeper house sounds and more accessible dance floor material.
