Tom Pooks

Tom Pooks is the alias of Christophe Gimenez, a French producer and DJ from Béziers in southern France. Gimenez discovered electronic music in 1992 and became a resident DJ in New York two years later, working alongside Francesco Farfa, Josh Wink and Carl Cox throughout his career. He founded the Moovment label in 2004, which he continues to run today. His productions have appeared on acclaimed labels including Eukahouse, Ovum Recordings and Kompakt since 2001.

His sound spans indie dance, melodic house and techno, tech house, and peak time driving techno, with releases appearing on Voltaire Music, Riot Recordings, and Family Piknik Music. Tom Pooks delivers high-energy productions that work across different contexts, from melodic house sets to driving techno floors. His output demonstrates versatility within the house and techno spectrum, maintaining consistent quality across multiple genres while adapting to contemporary electronic music trends. The artist has maintained steady release activity from 2010 through 2025, establishing himself as a reliable producer for DJ playlists.
