Even so, recruiting Rick Wade, a man who rarely appears on digital releases, preferring to stick to wax, is a big coup. As usual, the Michigan veteran is in fine form, dropping a trio of warm, chunky, involving deep house jams. Picking favourites is tough, although we’re particularly enamoured with the slinky chords and drifting melodies of “Feel The Funk”, while the disco-influenced, Hammond-boasting shuffle of “Pacify” is also rather impressive.
