Cineastic string pads meet trippy guitar riffs highlighted with drifty downbeat rhythms. Albarka’s unique debut 3-tracker hardly suits any categorization, but is an own decent journey at it self.
For Albarka, the first Electro-parties she ever went to were like a revelation. She was memorised instantly and once her passion for electronic music ripened, she had no choice but to start mixing on turntables herself.
She started her carrier as a DJane in Paris. From the beginning, she exhibited a great openness towards a broad range of music, an aptitude largely attributed to her French and Senegalese origins. She plays Deep House, Minimal House, Tech House or Lounge.
Later, she began playing in renowned German clubs or venues like (to name a few) Panorama Bar, Watergate, Golden Gate, Bar 25 in Berlin, Rocker 33 in Stuttgart, Soap Club in Hanover.
On the production-side, she has started writing and producing her own material and here is her first EP on Compost Records.
